I decided to make this thread after I reread every bookshelf in DQXI, paying attention to the adventures of Sudo Nym. The discovery in the last book about Sudo's true identity being your adoptive grandfather Chalky was super emotional. It honestly was one the coolest moments in an RPG for me despite being so minor and being incredibly easy to miss. What are some other minor things in DQ that made you feel similar? | Posted: 26 Apr 2020 07:35 AM PDT After passing through the mountain and getting to Rendarak I have noticed a steep increase in enemies with crazy dmg, crazy hp, and using thwack and I'm not even at the castle yet lol thats with all the best items and levels 37/35/32 lololol This grind session is going to be misery so I can beat this final asshole and I don't think its going to be worth it but i made it this far right? Posted: 25 Apr 2020 06:53 PM PDT I am sure lots of people won't like this much but i have to vent, i've tried and tried but i can't seem to enjoy any videogame that's not a mainline DQ game and i'm not sure why exactly...i've through is that because DQ games are chill, slow-paced and have non-emo characters so i can just eat a pizza while im playing DQIV, DQXI or DQVIII (my favourites). Final Fantasy VII Remake: Got bored and the emo characters turned me off, i missed DQ upbeat world and characters Xenoblade 2: The blade mechanic was strange to me and i didn't enjoy it much, plus the characters where too loud, got bored as well. Tales of Vesperia: Characters leaving/joining was really annoying to me, i also got bored pretty fast. Octopath Traveler: Couldn't even finish a chapter. Mario Odyssey/Breath of the Wild: I literally fell asleep playing those two, so i got bored as well. I come to realization that i don't enjoy videogames in general, i just enjoy Dragon Quest and nothing else, i know is picky...but if im honest i barely like anything...books, movies, games that aren't DQ just bore me i guess i'm just a boring person. Do you thin it's ok to someone to not like gaming as a whole but just Dragon Quest games? i just feel so terrible when i have to fake enjoying the games my friends buy and want to play with me to not make them feel bad. Posted: 26 Apr 2020 03:08 AM PDT DQXI is my first Dragon Quest game and I found it very enjoyable, especially when you start picking friends up along the way (The Great Sylva is dope lol). I wish I picked the harder enemies on the Draconian thing though. But the moment I stepped upon the casino in Puerto Valor, I just can't help myself, I want those items, I NEED THOSE ITEMS (even if they're probably shitty idk). Racked up 85k tokens a day of just doing slots, while tiring, rests me from hearing the overworld music (I love the battle music though). Anyway, I just wanted to say I enjoy the game lots! Thinking of playing DQVIII on my 3DS after I'm done with this, though really I first need to get out of this casino. [link] [comments] | ||
