    Basically the title. I got this game yesterday on sale knowing nothing about the series. I put in 13 hours today and I can't wait to play more tomorrow. I haven't been glued to anything this much since I was young. This game has something magical about it that just makes you feel good while you play it. I watched the Kotaku review right before buying and the same line keeps running through my head "This game is just chilling with your buds". Absolutely incredible.

    For the past 20 years I was under the impression that I lost this game or it was stolen. Turns out it was just buried in a bin of my old Lego. So happy to have found my favorite NES DQ!

    I've been playing on iPhone and decided to start a new run doing unarmed only. It seems that I accidentally overwrote my over 100 hour save data. I think I did it when I was falling asleep and thought it was the write slot

    I'm completely heartbroken. I had done almost everything on that file. My characters had their best possible weapons and armor. Monster arena done. Had all mini medals. I had a ridiculous number of casino tokens. The only thing that was left unfinished was the dragovians trials, which I was right in the middle of, as my next opponent was darksteel dragon

    I'm just so sad now.

    Finally finished Dragon Quest 11 and I gotta say, I'm blown away at how good the game is. Felt like I was re living my childhood memories from when I first played Dragon Quest 8 on PS2. I remember when I first got DQ8, I literally forgot about all my other games and played it religiously. Somewhat the same experience with DQ11 and I really enjoyed this one. I never got to finish DQ8 so I may go back and play it, but which of the other DQ games should I playthrough? DQ6 looked interesting. I have played DQM and DQB so you can recommend spin offs as well.

    Does it matter what I use my skill points on dq11?

    What I mean by this, can i just add points to whatever i see fit? Most games where i do this and put points into what i think is best i don't find out until late game that i screwed up big time and then had to restart the game. Is this game like this? Is it easy to mess up?

    So Ive been chasing a great jrpg ever since FF vii/viii.

    Now this- I have bought this game (PS4) and gave up at the very start (chose high diff lvl too maybe mistake). After "missions" such as rescuing cat from the roof I said "no" . Sold ir after lime 2hrs of playing.

    Now. Whats important; I REALLY HATED NINO KUNI.

    REALLY CONSIDER THIS GAME MY WORST GAME CHOICE EVER.

    DQXI kinda looked like NK to me, but I hope Im wrong and it is more "mature" Im 31 old school fan of ff 7-8 and I like its turned-based.

    Is normal difdicult mode comparable to ff7 difficulty? Battles I men.

    Im considering buying it on psn sale or maybe you could recommend some other jrpg with cool battle system and an amazing story?

    Does everyone have an optimal weapon?

    I'm just before getting Jade & Rab, and planned on giving them spears and claws respectively, but I'm more curious about Erik and Sylvando. Are daggers better for Erik, or swords, or can I dual boomerang? And I have Sylv with whips atm but then feel kinda weak for him

    Act 3 and items (XIS)

    Just finished act 2 last night and it was amazing. I kinda spoiled it for myself and I know some elements about act 3 so I was kinda wondering a few things.

    1.When you go back in time do all characters lose there items ? What should I equip for the luninary? Does items in bag disappear ?

    1. What should I do before heading back in time ?

    2. I'm aware my characters will be under levelled so do I need to be a certain level before re fighting mordegon and jasper?

    3. Does my money go back to how much I had before

    Question about enemy encounters in DQXI

    Do enemies actually chase you when you get close to them like enemies do in Trails in the Sky, or do battles only start when you hit them?

    What is the best party setup for DQ11S?

    I currently have:

    Hero - Greatsword Jade - Spear Serena - Wand Sylv - Whip (probably not the best choice but it's fun)

    Standby:

    Erik - Knife (plan to get dual wielding knives soon) Veronica - Heavy Wond Rab - Claws

    Should I have switched Erik for Jade? Should I keep Veronica in the party instead of Sylvando? Is Rab a better healer then Serena? (I'm not sure what class he is supposed to fit into since he heals better then serena i think due to his zing, but he also has attack spells)
