Posted: 24 Jun 2020 03:36 AM PDT I know in Japan DQ5 keeps winning (probably because a lot of people started with it over the SNES and its a fantastic journey) but I have a feeling it might be 8 here in west because its the first over in Europe. I love 5 and 8 but 11 is my personal favorite :) ANyway just curious what DQ players here find to be the best one, japan keeps picking 5 as I mentioned- and I get it, its a great game and being a kid able to go from kid to an adult and a parent AND a hero probably was cool back in the day and so much nostalgia for those japanese people back on the SNES days when they finally had their 16 bit console with a jrpg on it. | Posted: 24 Jun 2020 12:03 AM PDT Hi all, i think im missing something, ive just unfrozen snifilheim and obtained the blue orb and the game has stopped giving me any slight direction it was before. when i ask the party they just tell me i need the special sword to cut through the darkness so to check if i have missed something i have checked a guide and following that it states i should head to the Arboria when i go there nothing happens and the priest is just stood outside cathedral who keeps telling me to go fourth. when i ask the party here they keep telling me that im putting the cart before the horse being here, which i know. but i cant get to the highlands as the priest is blocking the door to the cathedral.. is it bugged? | Posted: 23 Jun 2020 01:52 PM PDT I've been working on making a skill simulator for some of the Dragon Quest games for a very long time now, and there are a couple things that I would find really useful that I've never been able to find, so I thought I'd ask here about them. (I have found that really helpful post where someone shared the ripped assets btw.)
First of all, does anyone know if there's anywhere I can find the dragon from the Dragon Quest XI logo without the text on top? I wanted to have its fire breath be a background for some text, but unfortunately my photoshop skills aren't quite up to par for the task of erasing the logo and then filling in the bits that are missing. I managed to get a halfway decent result, but it looks pretty messy still.
I know at some point someone made a version of JP's DQIX fig logo with English text. Does anyone know where I can get that (and how to contact them for permission to use it)? [link] [comments] |
