    DQ III on Switch: how much more level grinding do I need to do to prepare for the endgame? I just got the Mountainclever, and am heading to Isis with it, for context of how far I am into the game.

    [DQXI] What exactly should I do in Act 3?

    So, this September I have been playing DQXI and I have been loving it so far. My next mission is to go beat Calasmos at last but from what I have read, apparently I shouldn't go straight to him yet since he is of really high level. I didn't stop to grind too much during the game and I did maybe a quarter of the side-quests (Since I usually find them quite demeaning and boring) so I am 55 hours in and my characters are around Lvl 50. Apparently that's a low level but I have been playing in normal and I barely have had any problem beating the game so far. Half of the bosses killed me once or twice and the rest I was able to beat them first time and since I have never been beaten by normal enemies or anything, I didn't think I needed to farm. However, if apparently Calasmos can only be beaten when being much higher of a level (I have heard lvl75+, 99 and other stuff) and the Blind Hatred I encountered is apparently of high level too, then what should I do? Just do side-quests about finding flowers and books for people and grind for a dozen hours till I have gotten to the level I should be? Or am I missing something? Because I feel discouraged by the fact that to beat a game I need to obligatorily grind 30 levels without any story to back that up.

    Also, just in case you can give me further advice... My party is Hero with two swords, Jade with Spear, Erik with two knives and Serena with two wands. Is that alright? I loved Serena when I was able to use both her and Veronica's spells but now I am not sure if she is a great choice. I have tried other characters too but I feel like Jade and Hero are what I like most and then struggle to choose the other two roles, although I think I prefer what I have. I don't want to do 100% of the game or try-hard so I don't need the best absolute build, just wondering what was best. I had been using Greatsword Hero but since I will be needing the Sword of Light and stuff, I have switched to Super Sword of Light and the best other sword I had for the secondary hand

    Is it required to grind before the Pyramid in DQIII?

    Dungeon is hard and they kill me in one hit sometimes. Anyone here have advice? It's not a fun dungeon.

    Dragon Quest III: SNES, GBC, or Switch?

    So, I just beat DQII and I'll probably take a bit of a break, but when I'm ready to move on and play DQIII, which version should I go with? I did the first two games on GBC. I could play III on GBC, but I do have a Switch, so I was thinking it might be a nice change to play III on there. How is III for the Switch? Would anyone recommend it over the SNES or GBC versions? (I know that the GBC version has a bonus dungeon, but that's not essential for me.)
