    I need help. I'm currently lvl 25, and my highest party member is 27. I have tried 2 times, and I can not seem to beat her, I just keep dieing. Should I try a third time with her, or should I go lvl up? And if so, where, and how can I lvl up fast?

    I was at the trials for drustan and failed. Left to go grind for a bit. Is there a way to get right back to the trials without having to go through the dungeon and the eyrie again? I don't see a way to zoom.

    Dragon Quest VIII Skill Points

    Does it matter which skill points I max for each character? Is there a guide I can follow somewhere or are certain weapons better for certain characters? Sorry if this is a noob question this is my first time playing a Dragon Quest game

    i'm playing the inferior standard version of the game on PS4, everyone is maxed out and i'm doing every quest. so I have to tackle the dreaded wheel to get the recipe for the Legate Blade. i'm on the fourth trial.

    Can someone explain the weird change in spell names between the old and new translations?

    I'm a new dq fan (my first game was 11 and I just beat 5 and currently playing 3). I know that the spell names changed because of the new translation but I don't understand why are they so different. I mean they both are translations from the japanese so they shouldn't be so different right? I'll do some examples.

    In the original translation StopSpell=Fizzle

    Firebane=sizzle

    Blaze=frizz

    Expel=Puf

    Inferno=Woosh

    Defeat=Thwack

    Mist of the new spells are not even words just sounds so does anybody know why they changed so much?

    Question About playing old DQ Games

    I have never played a dragon quest game other than like 10 minutes of dragon warrior. I am looking at getting a retron 5 so i can play famicom and super famicom games with translation patches so i can buy the japanese versions to save money (not just for dragon quest). I know DQ 4-6 have ds ports and i was wondering if i should play them on their original hardware with translation patches or shell out the money for the ds games (its about $75 per game for ds)

    Question about finishing Dragon Quest 11 (spoilers)

    So I've finally beaten the whole game and also finished all the tockle quest. But I'm confused because the tockles kept saying I needed to defeat Calasmos again. Were they talking about the real Calasmos or the Calasmos from the last tockle quest that I already did? Do I have to fight the real Calasmos again for a true ending?

    DQ Heroes Postgame Party Planning

    Do I ever get the option to remove the MC from my active party? It makes sense that they'd have to be my lead in all of the story missions, but will I ever unlock the ability to not use them? If I'm always forced to use the one I picked, what's the point of even having the other one (or Terry, for that matter)?
