    DQXI - red door loot?

    So, I've been playing DQXI and I just got the magic key (finally!) and obviously my first instinct is to go back and hunt down every red door that I've passed up to this point. But it's my first playthrough and I've been trying really hard to stay out of the completionist mindset thus far, and I'm not sure I wanna just go down my Zoom list and hit every location with a red door if I'll be heading back that way eventually anyway.

    So I guess my question is this: will I have good reason to backtrack all these areas later in the game? And will the gear in those chests remain viable throughout the mid/late game, or should I just collect it all now, before it becomes obsolete?

    Are vocations in DQ7 as grindy as in 6?

    I just spent an entire day grinding my vocations in DQ6. I'm playing it on a DS emulator, so I could speed up the game to make things faster, but when I play DQ7 I'll play it on my 3ds, so I won't be able to speed it up. Do I need to grind as much? I'll consider playing the PS1 version if the answer is yes

    unbridled blade vs sword dance

    So i wan to to make sure i understand this, overall do with sword dance because chances to crit but with high defense enemies go with unbridled? Also what is heliochopper a good aoe move or is a spell better. Also i know there's a big debate between swords vs greatswords, im going greatsword because i like them.

    DragonQuest III: SNES Translation vs. Switch port

    Hello, Reddit.

    I'm finishing DQ XI, and I'd like to continue the series chronologically. So, I'm moving on to III.

    Now that the Switch ports are out, what is currently the best way to experience III? Until now, I believe it was the SNES translation. Is the Switch version better?
