The mod team here at r/dragonquest reached out to Lauren Coe, the voice actress of Veronica in Dragon Quest XI and asked if she wanted to come on and do an Ask Me Anything (AMA) Q&A session. She graciously accepted and I'm so happy to announce that it will take place this Friday, Feburary 5th at 6PM GMT (10AM PST, 1PM EST), so get your questions ready and let's have some fun! This is a big step forward for this sub and I'm so grateful to everyone involved in making this happen, including the 68K+ awesome fans on here making this one of the largest and most dedicated DQ communities on the internet. | Fan-made Game - Dragon Warrior: Begin a New Quest Posted: 02 Feb 2021 09:21 AM PST My friend, Wonderslime, originally known from RPGamer, and now streaming on Twitch spent around 3 years building an RPG: Dragon Warrior: Begin a New Quest I started playing it a few days ago, and I definitely want to recommend it! (I feel bad for not giving it a try when he originally posted about it on Facebook. 😔) It's not just a simple RPG maker game; it clocks in at about 30 hours. I'm in awe at the work that went into this, such as the custom Monster Entry screens created for all of the enemies that you can try to find in the game. He also talked to me about the kind of effort he put in to make it feel more authentic such as trying to increase the encounter rates in hills/forests and the mechanics for metal slimes. | Does DQXIS play faster in 2d mode? Posted: 02 Feb 2021 09:26 AM PST Hey y'all. I bought the original DQXI on PS4 at launch and played 17 hours up until I got the ship. On the guide, it says I'm halfway through the chapters, but I guess I still have at least 25 hours to go? I'm considering picking up the definitive edition, and was wondering if the 2d version will get me to chapter 7 much faster? If so, is it worth it or should I just replay on 3d anyways? | Jade Re-vamp vs Alzarin (draconian) Help? Posted: 02 Feb 2021 12:41 AM PST So I watched a video of someone that was around my level that killed this guy in Act 2 fairly easily. Jade was getting 780-800 damage per multi-thrust. The hero about 700 with dual wield giga attacks. 8th was sword/shield and doing a decent amount of damage. Lineup was 8th, Hero, Jade, Sylvanis. level 40+ With the Hero and Sylvanis I used the pep power to increase party attack power. My revamp jade was still only doing 400 damage at best. My Hero was using a great sword and could do about 500 damage with gigaslash. My gear is +2, +3 on most of these characters and im level 43-42ish with my party. Why isn't jade doing more damage against this guy at this point in the game? Her attack power on her stats is a little above 300. She has a +2 paladin lance. I'm struggling on dishing out more damage on these characters. [link] [comments] | ||
