How do you guys get into DQXI? Everyone loves this game, but why?
Yeah that dragonlord guy sucks, but the Children of Hargon are pretty cool and share their Disney+ subscription if you join them

He just keeps sleeping the party and buffing. Any sleep/ice resist equipment I can use for the fight? Using Hero, Erik, Sylvando, and Serena at levels 67/67/66/62. Is there anything MJ is vulnerable to besides Zap?

How do you guys get into DQXI? Everyone loves this game, but why?

I'm both frustrated with this game, and with myself. Clearly I must be in the wrong, at least if we're judging by majority.

I've been trying for the third time to play this game now.

Right now I'm in the town after we go to the ghost 2D-world for the first time. That's where I saved and figured that I might pick this game up again if there ever comes a fourth time.

This is the first DQ game I've ever tried. I've played some other JRPGs that I've loved though, like a lot of the Final Fantasy games, Chrono Trigger, and Trail in the Sky. I like those.
But DQIX... so far it just doesn't work for me. Can I expect to be sucked into the story any time soon, or should I already have been?

So far my 2 cents is that the game too slow, too unoriginal, and the characters dull. The fact that the MC is mute is something that bugs me at every dialogue point.

I genuinely wonder what all you people find so appealing here.

Erik dual swords

So iv just unlocked dual weild for Erik and I'm going down the sword route. Iv got the nebula sword equipped atm bit it won't let me equip anything in the right hand slot. Does it need to be the same kind of sword or? How the hell do I equip the second one haha
