    Hi, I'm playing Dragon Quest XI on Gamepass, and I have only the Hero and no other teammates. I was wondering if I grind my Hero Max now, what will happen when I get other people in my party. I like just grinding in the first open area while listing to a podcast and what to be overpowered since I'm not really good at JRPGS.

    How on earth am I supposesd to beat Murdaw???

    So I'm at the second Murdaw fight at his lair, and even though levels are considerably higher than what most forums and guides suggest, I'm still getting absolutely thrashed. He keeps spamming his breath and lightning attacks one after another, if not he's putting everyone to sleep. Nevan gets wiped out in one turn, leaving just Milly on healing duty, and I'm having to focus her healing on herself so she doesn't get killed, which leaves the Hero and Carter to get massacred. If I try and heal them instead, then Milly dies and then I'm completely screwed!

    I've tried several times and I'm just starting to think this is an impossible fight. The thing is, this isn't even my first playthrough, yet I can't remember it being so damn hard the last time I played the game.

    Does anyone have any advice before I feel compelled to yeet my DS out the nearest window?

    Sadly i have to quit playing dragon guest 11

    Theres literally no challenge. Im too far to start over with whatever higher difficulty they offer. If i close my eyes and just hit 1 button i will still win every fight. Theres no threat. No challenge. Its sad cause these are great charachters but there are too many games that are not stuck in easy mode to keep going.

    Post Game

    So ive just beat Calasmos and got the true ending and all and now i decided to go back into that save. The save has the title "Hero of Erdrea" but when i load into that save file, everything seems to be how it was before i faced Calasmos, is this a bug or is it meant to be like this? Thanks in advance.

    Does anyone know how to get the Legendary Slime Scout title?

    It says "Title for those who collected all Slime Family monsters."

    How does that differ from the Slime Master title which says "Title for those who collected 100% of the total Slime Family." ?

    I had to cheat in a few slimes that were not possible, like the flavor slimes and rainbow egg; but, I now have every slime and the Slime Master title. And yet it won't give me the Legendary Slime Scout title as well.

    When does the story for DQ 11 pick up?

    Spoiler free as possible. I'm about 35 hours into the game and just reached the girls academy and am still waiting for the story to pick up.

    There were some fairly exciting moments early on but the story is not captivating me the way I would expect it to based on reviews. Not bad at all, just curious if I'm in a lull or if this is what I can expect most of the way forward.

    Act III completion?

    Is there a save-point or any more content after Calasmos's battle? Or anything to miss before then? I intend to go into Calasmos with all of the outfits, enemies catalogued and quests cleared, but should I also collect every item and accolade? I just don't want to finish the fight and then realize I can't finish the game. (also, if a No Point Of Return exists instead after a theoretical secret final Final boss instead [or there exists no such point and I am able to do as I please after either], please let me know, I have my suspicions of Tickington) Thanks! :)

    I just beat persona 5 not too long ago and as a result I more interested in jrpgs.I have been looking at some videos of combat and tbh I like what I see.

    My question so far is-Would you consider it hard? Compared to persona 5 on normal?By hard I mean in the sense that some game series are just considered harder than others, for example dark souls and smt are both series that are considered exceptionally difficult

    2.Is it a good game for a complete beginner to the series?

    A Dragon quest game or games you wanted to like but couldn’t?

    Everyone has at least on game from the DQ games they don't like. Can be from a spin off, main series, or something else. For me, I couldn't get into 9. I know 9 has a big fan base. This game was a lot of people's first DQ game which holds value to them. Liking 9 is great! More power to ya. Sadly, I couldn't get into it. Didn't like how you had to unlock certain jobs require stupid things to happen like kill a metal slime as a mage or something like that. Didn't like how the job system was like 3 with the whole restart to level 1. Lastly, felt very very repetitive to play through. Could of been me binging the game. Maybe I played it in small amounts of time I enjoy it more. The soundtrack didn't help for me either. 9 I can see as a good game and why people love it. Multiplayer is a blast to play with friends. Having your looks changed with the armor is amazing! The battles were great. Sucks I couldn't like it, but I'm glad people can like it even if I don't.

    Stuck in DQIX: Have 6 fygs

    Long story short. Been playing DQIX off and on since 2013. Started it back up today after many years and I'm stuck.

    The story so far reads: Defeated the evil shaman Larstastnaras to aquire fyg 6. Batzorig sent her off to roam the plains with khoonbish....etc..

    I tried reading through my strategy guide and looking at online FAQs. No luck thus far. That ended up taking me up a mountain pass where I read online a fyg easily missed might be. At the top was a small village where everyone is stone, and a dead guy talking about maps.

    I found the map location and got 1 shot in cave next to the mountain by some horse.

    I tried looking through my quests and couldn't find much, but that fairy chic mention she's surprised that I got the 6th Fyg without grinding.

    If anyone can help I can provide any information that may help.
