    Playing the switch version. Most of the initial equipment cannot be sold, but a few items (silk robe, hairband, bronze lance, soldier's sword, etc.) get this warning. No spoilers please, but is there a reason not to sell off this junk?

    Does Dragon Quest 11 get better as you go along?

    I'm maybe 10 hours in so far, in Gondolia. I love the old school gameplay, but the atmosphere of the game is making it so hard to stay interested. The story is boring, the characters are not interesting, the world is pretty bland, I'm tired of listening to the same 3 songs over and over. It's not a bad game by any means, but I only have so much time I can spend playing video games. This would have been a perfect 10-15 hour game, but if it stays this way for 80+ hours I think I'll have to move on.

    Finally getting into this series. Finished DQ1 and immediately started on DQ2 afterwards. I'm now at Rendarak, and want to make sure I'm not missing any major gear upgrades, primarily cause i seem to have a lot of difficulty keeping the Prince of Cannock alive. This is my current setup

    How does magic work in this series?

    I've played a few DQ games but I've never quite figured out how magic works. Do enemies have elemental weaknesses like in Pokemon or Shin megami tensei? How do I know which elemental magics I should use against an enemy?

    What are some costume ideas you would've liked to see for the characters?

    Personally, I would've liked everyone to have had a samurai set. And Sylvando's got plenty of great costumes already, including the switch-exclusive one handed down to him by his dad, but seeing him with more armour would've been cool. Maybe the same armour the knights of Puerto Valor wear? But with his own sort of flair.
