    DQ11S - Act 3 Sidequest

    So I just did the postgame sidequest about Jasper. And it was just amazing!

    First it starts off with the flashbacks to Act 2 with everyone wondering what that is, and eventually Hendrik tells you that Jasper wasn't promoted to General like he was and Mordegon was most likely letting the darkness fester in Jasper. Then Hendrik and Jasper battle one-on-one and the battle is just really sad.

    Eventually Hendrik makes Jasper return to his original form and Jasper explains some of the reasons why he turned dark. Then their two powers combine in a new suit of armour and outfit!

    I thought this was really well done - apparently in the other versions this isn't there. I was just waiting for a close to Jasper's story since it felt very unfinished in Act 3, and this was just perfect :)

    confused about DQ XI ending (spoilers )

    Hello

    so DQ XI was my first dq game and i absolutely loved it it was amazing

    but i am confused ... hero went back in time to save veronica but he actually didn't save her for the original timeline and not just that but he left his friends behind causing them to lose him and veronica is not that selfish , at first i thought everyone went back in time with him but no when Serenica went back in time we were still there sooo does this means there are 3 timelines now or what ?

    Is it just me or is it literally impossible to lose on the slime quest 5 spot machinine in octagonia?

    I'm at 32 bosses beat on slime time and have 5 people in my party after beating the Gaia dragon. The bonus won't end until you roll another set of 7s, triggering another slimetime. Is it impossible to lose and I'm stuck until 5000 spins?

    [DQXIS] Some Questions regarding Act 3

    So, I'm currently working on better equipment before tackling, what I assume to be the last boss (and that final trial of Grandmaster Pang, oof).

    I currently have some doubts whether the Equipment with the highest values are necessarily the best in action.For example knives:

    Is it better to go with the highest atk knives, the Dynamo Dagger, for both Erik and Sylvando? Or should I go with the exclusive knives of Erik and Sylvando? Or maybe just the exclusive for Erik and the Dynamo for Sylvando?

    I couldn't really find anything on what people consider better or prefer concerning exclusive equipment vs highest stat equipment.

    I also wondered if there's a checklist somewhere regarding all the Act 3 "sidequests" that are not sidequests. Like saving Hero's dad and Erik's sister, killing the blue dragon in the ice kingdom, rebuilding cobblestone, etc.

    Tactics/Items Question

    I'm playing through the demo of Dragon Quest XI right now and was tinkering with the different tactics options. I tried a few different ones and have yet to either party members use an item, especially a healing one, when it would make sense to so.

    Do party members not use items at all when they've been assigned a tactic? Just curious.

    Did anyone feel like it was weird when in Act 1 Veronica said she didn't know how to play Serenica's Flute the camping night before going up to the Tree, and then out of no where in Act 3 she goes into flautist mode with Serena on the Harp to give the flying whale narwhal armor?
