[DQ11] What skills of -char- are influenced by -stat- Posted: 20 Mar 2020 05:33 AM PDT Sylvando and Charm.. I know they go hand in hand, but I'm not sure which skills are actually affected by this stat being higher? [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Mar 2020 04:06 AM PDT I'm now a little ways into Act II on a blind 8x Draconian run, and have reobtained the boat. Despite the game seeming to open up at this point, I was disappointed to find that when I tried to make a beeline for Jade (whose location I knew because the Switch version forces you through her interlude chapter), planning to investigate the strange dreams at the traveler's lodge later, Rab stops you from progressing any further north until you've stayed at the lodge. It's just one of many, many instances of this sort of thing in the game, even in its supposedly more open portions. (You can explore all of the snowy region just after hitting the outer sea in Act I, for example, but find nothing there until you've gotten the Magic Key, and as you'll also likely grab the Silver Orb in the region at the same time, there isn't much of a flexible order to events.) I feel like some of it comes down to how many highly scripted cutscenes it has--such that it doesn't want you, say, picking up party members in an unpredicatble order, but I don't feel it's worth the trade-off. They could either just keep them silent as they do with Rab/Sylvando depending on who you pick back up first, or simply have played less into heavy scripting in the first place in order to better balance flexibility with player choice. I'm enjoying the game well enough on 8x, but this still continues to be a constant source of frustration, having jumped into it after playing the original trilogy last year. Just needed to vent. I know the game is well-loved, but what are people's thoughts about this? It's not just that it's linear, I guess, but that it seems to be so aggressively so, even when it seems like its world should be open, or when it's presenting a supposedly more open world after its most heavily linear portions. I want to be having a role-playing adventure, but this entry doesn't seem to be much into allowing it. Edit -- Yes, I know this will get downvoted. [link] [comments]

Posted: 20 Mar 2020 08:42 AM PDT So I have only completed dq11, and was wondering if all the games have these types of world ending events, or if 11 is another hero similar to erdrick, with these "heroes" being the best lore wise? Or is every game similar where the hero is amazing and does world changing things? [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Mar 2020 04:37 AM PDT So, I did some time-wimey shenanigans and lost the Sword of Light, but ended up with the Super Sword of Light. I've also heard about a Supreme Sword of Light? Is there any way I can have both Super and Supreme? [link] [comments]

Why do people say the slime controller is uncomfortable Posted: 20 Mar 2020 03:49 AM PDT I got a slime controller for my birthday and have been using it as my main controller. I've heard a lot of people say it's very uncomfortable to use, yet for me it's even easier for me to use than regular controllers. Do other people like it or am I just a weird one. [DQXI] Does anyone have the 2D sprites for each party member? Posted: 19 Mar 2020 10:08 PM PDT I need the 2D sprites so I can build them in Minecraft, but I can't seem to find them anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find them? [link] [comments]
Finally beat Dory in Gray on my 8th attempt. Posted: 19 Mar 2020 04:49 PM PDT Man, screw this boss. I loved this part of the story and the boss design, but lord did I struggle. I'm not great at games on the whole, but this was so difficult I'm so glad it's behind me so I can continue what has quickly become one of my favourite games. [link] [comments]
Posted: 19 Mar 2020 08:17 PM PDT Im at Tryan Gully right now and I was wondering what my gear for everybody should look like by this point in the game cause im pretty sure my gear isn't up to par with where im at right now. Posted: 19 Mar 2020 11:58 PM PDT I've recently got the original trilogy on the Nintendo e shop and I'm stuck on the 2nd game. I need to find a false idol and for for the life of me I can't find where I can get that idle I've thought about the cave just north of Zahan, but there are rocks in the way. Is that the right place? If so how do I get in. Any advice at all is appreciated. [link] [comments]
Are there additional chests added in 11s? Posted: 19 Mar 2020 06:15 PM PDT Hey all, another DQ11 question - I'm in part 2 and needed to come back to Hotto for something and Erik says there's one treasure left. I've checked multiple video guides from the PS4 version confirming I have all chests. Am I missing something here? [link] [comments] |
