Dragon Quest My first Dragon Quest game. Do you think I made a good decision?

I have completed the Automata world in DQVII - I started it some time ago and only just got back to it and completed it. But now I can't find the portal back to the present. Is there any way of locating it or getting back to the present without it. Perhaps via the Shrine of Mysteries? It doesn't seem to be anywhere on the island and I've tried looking on all the other islands too. I haven't played for a while so maybe there's something simple I have forgotten.

Hand of the heavenly Bride for DS (monster recruit)

Hello~

So, recently I decided to try and finish up some old games I let time get away from me playing and I started by attempting to finish the DS game of this topic's title. Well, deciding I wanted a king slime to recruit on King D's Island I have over leveled the Hero to level 43 and got TWELVE yes twelve Yggdrasil leaves when I had zero prior. Honestly I think I MIGHT get a metal slime first at this rate. Who the hell is THIS unlucky? It would be funny to me but man I cant even get a Cure slime to join me...... Got a lot of agility seeds out of the metal slimes too.

How are the mobile games?

By that, I mean the original games made for mobile devices, "DQ of the Stars", "DQ Walk", and "DQ Tact". To those who have played any of these games, how fun are they? I don't mind grinding, by the way. I'm a Dragon Quest fan after all.

Dragon Quest Old English translation

Hello, I've just finished the first Dragon Quest on Switch and as a french person, it was really hard for me to understand the game since it was translated in an "old English".

I wanted to know if the 2nd and 3rd games are translated in the same way ? Thanks !

Could anybody tell me how far I am in the game (DQ11 S)

So I am playing Dragon quest 11 on the switch right now and its pretty much my second game right after finishing 8. (Technically the 11 demo is my first which spurred my decision to get in the series, but the probably doesn't count. I am about 81 hours in and am at the Rab bonus story fighting Grand Master Pang.

I hear the game is like 80-100ish hours long for general playtime. Beat DQ8 in a bit over 80 hours btw. Just wondering if I am going at a more slow pace in comparison. Weirdly enough I don't feel like the game is dragging, in fact I wouldn't mind it lasting a while longer haha.

Also any other games in the series structurally similar to 11 and 8? Story and character centric? Read that some games in the series are more old school grind and explore which isn't really my favorite thing especially after trying to play FF3 and below so any ines that are more like that I probably can't take. If its something like Bravely Default that would be nice too.

Why is dai series so fast

We didnt get to see alot of the filler that was the first go around at this anime, i feel like we didnt even see the scene where the demon lord comes back an its gives the anime a omg evil lore feel to it. Idk i think its insane were at episode 3 an already on avan dragon episode . The series is WHIPPPPING BY so fast compared to the original

DQXI best Early Game Party Setup ?

What would be the best party setup in the Early Game (Act 1 Lonalulu) ?

My party currently consists in

-Hero lv. 33 (Swords- Dual Wield) -Erik lv. 33 (Knives - Dual Wield) -Rab lv. 30 (Claws) -Jade lv.30 (Claws)

Should I swap Rab for Sylvando (lv 31-Whips) for healing since Hustle Dance is less expensive in terms of MP than Multiheal ?

Edit:I just discovered that you can switch party members in battle 🤦🏻‍♂️
