    DQ11: Definitive Edition. No armor, yes or no?

    I've just started my very first playthrough of dq11 for the nintendo switch. I'm a big fan of jrpgs and have played many difficult ones!

    I noticed that you can put on draconian quests which, of course, change several parts of the game. So far I've turned on harder enemies, less exp, game over if the player dies and as the title implies no armor. I'm mainly doing this for a challenge but I feel as though the no armor one makes me lose out on more complex gameplay and character building. And at the same time I don't want the game to be too easy.

    Should I have it on? Any and all opnions are welcome!

    Is DragonQuest (SNES) as Grindy as Dragon Warrior (NES)?

    I'd like to know how much grinding is necessary for a moderately difficult playthrough, for the average RPG player, of the first Dragon Quest on SNES (playing with a translation patch) game compared to the first western release. I've also played the Game Boy Color version (which I have the most experience (not the Exp. kind 😋) with), which seemed high in terms of grinding, but I didn't pay attention to shop costs. How much time did you spend grinding, and how difficult it was for you? Plus, (optionally) if you can add any differences, besides visuals, you found in this game, that would be appreciated.

    Will Dragon Quest XI Definitive Edition for PS4 be a visual downgrade?

    I saw something a while ago saying that DQXI defini edition was basically the switch version which is visially downgraded from the ps4 version. I've already played it on ps4 but I like the idea of getting new costumes and the 2D mode but I'm not sure I like the idea of it looking worse than the version I'm used to.

    Are Dragon Quest V and VI just like IV?

    I'm playing through IV slowly. I'm on Chapter 5 fighting the giant mech-looking demon. I'm honestly tired of all the grinding at this point.

    Are V and VI as grindy? If so, should I just skip to VII and IX?

    DQVI: Why can’t Nevan enter Somnia?

    Every time I enter the town of Somnia in the dream world, Nevan automatically switches place with a different party member.

    Nevan can enter the real world version of Somnia just fine, but not the dream world versiom.

    Is this a bug or is it an intended feature that will get an explanation later on?

    For reference, I'm playing on iOS and I'm at the stage of the game where I just got my first ship and am about to head out to face Murdaw.

    She has an awesome design, has the most tragic backstory of almost any DQ, is probably the most beautiful woman in all of DQ and manages to be both useful in battle and has some of the more amusing party chats! If they ever do DQ Heroes III, it would be a shame if they don't include her!

    Does anybody have a gallery of the DQ Rivals costumes?

    I saw a picture of DQ Rivals characters in kimonos (Specifically Angelo and Meena) and I thought it was cool, so I wanted to know if anyone had a full gallery of the character costumes. I tried to do some digging but anything related to Rivals is all in Japanese. Any help would be appreciated!

    Stuck at gallows moor (dq6)

    I have talked to every npc twice both with and without the guard disguise and I cant get any progress. I read online that I'm supposed to talk to the town leader but I can't seem to find him. What am I missing?
