Just let me get an English localization for a DQM game on my switch! I just finished DQ11 and I have to say..... I like it a whole lot less than the original DQM I played on my Gameboy back in the day. Breeding monsters and figuring out teams was legit and arguably better than pokemon. [link] [comments] | ||

| Can't launch DQ11S on the Switch? Posted: 14 Jul 2021 01:40 AM PDT Anyone experiencing this? Whenever I try launching the game, it's just in the Nintendo Switch logo start up screen. Normally the Switch logo moves when loading but in this case it isn't. This is a physical copy. Steps I've done so far: - Switch is updated to latest software - Game is updated as well - Tried docked mode Is there anything else that I should be doing before requesting for an exchange/refund/return in the store. Edit: Here's a link to a video of me trying to boot the game https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lXj1VloTy5sb1v16cOzv_FYgaG_K3sUK/view?usp=sharing Also after some reading, I tried the following but still generated same results: - Reinserting the SD Card - Booting the game without an SD Card (update went to the Internal Storage) - Tried the demo and even the demo crashes. | Here's my ranking of the final bosses Posted: 13 Jul 2021 02:07 PM PDT After beating every main game in the series, except for 10, I now present my ranking for all of the final bosses in the series. I don't include "true" final bosses like Aamon or Calasmos because that would be too complicated imo. I based these off of appearance, impact on the story (including lore in this section), and their actual fight.

| It’s crazy how games can hit you so differently at different times in your life Posted: 13 Jul 2021 12:37 PM PDT I am a huge RPG fan and grew up on JRPGs including DQ 1-3 (dubbed Dragon Warrior back when I played them) so naturally I bought DQ11 as soon as it launched. As I played it though..I just didn't like it at all. I couldn't understand why, it's very rare that an RPG gets brilliant scores like DQ11 did that I just don't enjoy at all. It felt too childish, the story and gameplay both felt horribly generic and I couldn't understand why it was reviewing so well and receiving so much love from the fan base. After about 10 hours I put the game down and just chalked it up to my tastes having changed and moved on. The summer game draught has started to hit, and so while waiting for NEO: TWEWY (one of my most highly anticipated games) I couldn't find anything else to play so I decided to give the new version DQ11:S a try since it was on game pass. For some reason this time I'm seeing the game in a whole new and positive light! What previously felt childish now feels charming and I'm loving the monster designs and turned based combat. The new orchestral soundtrack certainly helps a lot too! I already got farther than I did last time and I'm loving every second of it. | Posted: 13 Jul 2021 11:24 AM PDT I'm at Baramos. And I can't seem to do ANYTHING. I look online. Try to at least reasonably follow the advice. Oh, it says here you can beat the game with levels in the mid thirties. I'm AT level 34-35 for all characters and he is STILL blasting me out of existence. There is only so many times I can jokingly say "Baramos I've come to bargain." Before it starts to get tedious. I have been trying to limit looking things up or asking for help for my first time playing, but I just "can't" to the point that right now it is starting to become not fun to play. Is there some 'thing' I inadvertently am doing that is making this fight hard? I am playing the switch version. My characters Hero: level 35 Thunderbolt blade, spiked armor, tempest shield, Ortega's helm, garter. Warrior: level 34 headsman's axe, earthenware dragon shield, iron mask, mighty armlet. Mage: level 34 somatic staff, cat suit, magic shield, silver tiara, gold tiara. Priest: level 34 zombiesbane, magic armor, magic shield, hard wood headwear, scholar's specs. [link] [comments] | ||

I've also heard that playing through I-III is recommended before jumping into XI. Any advice you can spare for the first game as well as for a general newcomer to the series?
